The Green Dragon -Martial Arts
Millions of American children
are enrolled in Tae Kwon Do.
They have been told it is a sport (the National Sport of Korea). It is religion pure and simple.
It was founded in 525 A.D. by Bodhidharma, an Indian monk who took it to the Shaolin temple in China. Bodhi is revered as the 28th
incarnation of Buddha.
In the beginning students are taught basic self defense moves but eventually they are taught to unite with the
various spirits of wolf, tiger, pig, rooster and eventually the Green Dragon. They are taught to obliterate all reality
as we know it and come to believe
that they and their opponent are only manifestations of the same force. They are really their opponent. There is no other, there is only you.
In the middle of the 20th
Century many Hindus migrated to the West. By the end of the century there were Martial Arts and Yoga
classes being offered in almost every American community. They were being
promoted as exercises and sports to relieve stress and promote health and well being.
The word Yoga means union. It comes from the Sanskrit "
yuj;"
i.e., "to-yoke" to the spirit. This is actually, identical to the
meaning of the word "religion" which comes from "
religio;"i.e., "to link-back" to the spirit.
Thus,
all of yoga is religion. Only in this manner is the term "yoga" used as a general
spiritual/religious reference. Of course, it is not very clear to simply say: "I
do yoga." This is like saying: "I do religion."

The goal of Yoga is to become aware of your true inner self. Through meditation
and looking inward, you realize your true self is only a manifestation of the
one great Universal Soul- God. OM Tat Sat You are it. You are God caught in the
illusion of being separate. When you become fully God-realized you cease to be
reborn. You escape the wheel of birth and death.
Christians should not be
deceived, and should avoid Martial Arts and Yoga and never repeat Mantras. Often a mantra is the name of a
demon and if you repeat the name over and over it invites the demon to come and
make a home in your body. Yoga does not offer eternal life but the annihilation of
life. It is a self-centered religion that finds millions of people sitting
cross-egged with their eyes closed trying to convince themselves that they are
God. They do nothing for the orphans, widows or starving. Helping others and
love are spurned as distractions and illusions. Did you ever meet a happy
Hindu?
Christianity is not about diet, exercise, breathing properly
or focusing on yourself. Christianity is being spirit-born and helping others to
be spirit-born and helping the poor widows and orphans. Christianity is not
about self defense but self sacrifice. It's about making peace and getting
involved in the lives of the less fortunate. It focuses on God and loving your
neighbors. Christianity reaches out But Yoga reaches in. It is the ultimate act
of self-love and self-deification. Parents if you love your children, keep them
aways from Yoga and Matial Arts.
