Does God Send Natural Disasters?

A Letter to Nelly

Hi Nelly,
I was re-reading your essay and I would challenge your Stanford philosophy professor on point two of his deduction
1. God exists.
2. God is omnipotent.

Christians believe that the evil one (Satan) rules this planet and that God (El Shaddai) is trying to bring his kingdom to the earth to make earth like heaven. When Jesus died on the cross, that was the beach head when the kingdom of heaven began on this planet. Like a tiny mustard seed it will grow and fill the earth. So El Shaddai is not omnipotent yet. All the wars, Tsunamis, earthquakes etc. we attribute to the evil one, for El Shaddai (the invisible God) is only good, and does not allow evil for any reason, and seeks to end wars and restore earth to balance and harmony. Christians believe that El Shaddai chose a sinless man (Jesus) to place his special angel in in order to break the evil one's hold on humans who spend their lives in fear of death. El Shaddai and Jesus trapped the evil one who thought by murdering Jesus on the cross he could get him to curse El Shaddai. But when Jesus did not curse El Shaddai, despite hanging for several hours on the cross, but died, the curse boomeranged and fell on the evil one.

Which means that on the Judgment (final day) the evil one cannot hold Christians in the land of death, but they will arise from the grave and go straight to El Shaddai's house; without being judged, to live forever as his joyful children. The wicked one will be cast into a lake of fire, and the earth will return to equilibrium.

Christians further believe that we can have a taste of the Kingdom today when we ask Jesus into our hearts.

Once we have a taste of the Kingdom, we believe we have eternal life now, eternal hope, eternal courage, eternal joy, eternal peace/well-being/prosperity/ right relationships/health, and whatever we put our hands to, that will bring glory to El Shaddai, will be victorious.

Sample Prayer: Jesus, El Shaddai has given you the right to open the Kingdom to everyone who comes to you. You can give me a taste of his Kingdom now because he chose you to defeat the evil one, and later he begot you as a Prince and as the first Spirit-Man. Please send the angel that was in you to give me a new heart for you to live in. My old heart is sin sick and I renounce it. I want to know more about you and your father El Shaddai. Amen
