Let's Fight Over Dirt
The children of Abraham, on Isaacs's side, say Yah
gave them the land between the Euphrates River to the Nile, as far north as to
middle Turkey, and South to the tip of the Sinai Peninsula. The Children of
Abraham, on Ishmael's side, say "No, the land belongs to us!" Both sides can
find ample evidence to prove their point. Both are willing to kill to get their
rightful inheritance
Stop! I Want to Contest the Will
I can prove that the land belongs to the Christians. Paul says the
promise was not made to the seeds of Abraham, but to one seed, and that one seed
is Yahsuah.
Galatians 3:16
"The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and
to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ."
It couldn't be more clear that the
land belongs only to Yahshuah the Christ. What's more Paul says
Galatians 3:29
"If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
There you have it Bible scholars, the land belongs to the followers of Yahshuah.
Christians are the Twelve tribes that the Apostle James is writing his letter to. He writes:
"James, a servant of Yah and of the Master Yahshuah the Messiah, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings." (James 1:1)
Christians are the scattered True Seed of Abraham; scattered over the face of
the whole earth. So I won't be surprised when some false Christians unite, arm
themselves, and march on the Middle East to claim their land again as the first
Crusaders did.
Whoa!
Not long ago I did hear a preacher allude to the possibility that when
Yahshuah returns, such an event might occur. I must say that neither Abraham nor
Yahshuah understood the land to be the actual dirt and rocks, rivers, and lakes
located in the Middle East. In fact as long as we think of the Land as being
material, we are missing the point, and we'll never inherit the land.
Abraham Knew that the Land Was Not Physical, but Spiritual
"By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God". (Hebrews 11:8-10)
So Abraham was living on the dirt, but he was still looking for the promised land. He understood that the city was not to be found on this earth, it was not to be a city made by human hands. He dwelt on the dirt as a pilgrim and a sojourner.
Jesus or Paul?
I'm glad I follow Yahshuah and not Paul. Yahshuah said to Pilate when he was arrested:
My kingdom is not of
this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that
I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
(John 18:36)
So Where is it?
So where is this heavenly land? How do we get into this kingdom? You enter it when the reign of Yah
descends on your heart. When his reign becomes your guiding power, you are translated from darkness to light, then the baubles
and dirt of the earth no longer mean anything to you. Fighting over land is the last thing on your mind. The kingdom of Heaven (the
land promised to Abraham and his descendants) is Love, Joy and peace. You can't pitch a tent on these things, but without them, every
tent is only a grave covering.
So I take back the title of this article. I won't fight anyone for the land. In fact the wise Christian will only go
to the Middle East to be a Peacemaker. That means do not take sides. Reason with them and help them to find ways to see Yah's real message, and to
live in Peace as all the children of Abraham are called to do.
