There is no Battle at Armageddon
There is no battle at Armageddon. Armageddon means "a gathering place for troops", so it should not be thought of as a
specific geographical location, but should be viewed as wherever troops gather all around the world.
We know three things about Armageddon, and yes one has to do with Solomon.
1. It is Megiddo in Hebrew and was a valley where the Canaanites worshipped a False god named Hadad-Rimmon
(Zechariah 12:11)
"In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem as the mourning of Hadad-Rimmon in the valley of Megiddon."
Hadad-Rimmon was Baal a "macho" god whose symbol was the pomegranate known for its abundant seeds. But more than
just a sex god, he was a macho warrior god. In Babylon he was called Enlil or Tammuz. He prosmised those who died
in battle would resurrect in glory. In India he is Krishna.
2. Megiddo means "the gathering of the soldiers".
3. Solomon built a military base at Megiddo (1 Kings 9:15) and during his reign turned every Israeli into a
"man of war". 1 Kings 9:22 says he turned all the gentiles in the land into slaves
"But the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondsmen but they were men of war."
The children of Yahveh are to be as gentle as lambs and as harmless as doves. Satan wants to make
them warlike and ferocious as lions. Christians are to be known for their kindness, forgiveness and tender hearts.
I am suggesting that the place where "soldiers gather" on the planet is in the military. John saw three
unclean spirits like frogs (water creatures) go out to the wilderness (Asia) and beyond Asia to flood the whole
world with a false teaching.
The Waters of Armageddon
Judges 5:19 makes reference to "the waters of Megiddo ". So far in the Revelation water is associated with the flood
of false teachings that came from Satan's mouth. So what is the false teaching from Armageddon? Simply this: Christians
have a duty to serve their respective countries as combatants in time of war. Romans 13 is the big gun that is used to
bolster this false teaching. Romans 13 talks about obeying those in authority.
Peter and John disobeyed their country's authorities in the Book of Acts when they were forbidden to speak
the name of Yahshuah. Peter said
"Judge for yourselves, should we obey God or men?"
The faithful remnant of believers obey all earthly authorities unless they are asked to obey something that
runs counter to the Gospel. Carnal warfare is as counter to the loving Spirit of Christ as you can get.
Yahshua's spirit changes ferocious sinners and murderers into gentle lambs. Satan through the use of the
military changes gentle lambs into ferocious murderers. In 1969 I was in the U.S. Army and after 6 weeks of boot
camp I saw nice, wholesome American boys just off the farm turned into ferocious beasts of prey. Every man or woman
who has been in the military knows that it is an unclean spirit filled with filthy jokes, cruel treatments, vicious
killings, rapings, tortures, and destruction of life and limb. How can the children of light unite themselves with
such a creature of darkness?
God is the God of peace and love. Satan is Hadad-Rimmon the warrior god. He was a murderer from the beginning
and wants to instill the warrior spirit into every soul on the planet. As followers of Christ we are to gather at the
New Jerusalem, not at Armageddon.
We see the gathering of the troops in Chapter 16 but there is no final battle called The battle of Armageddon. Three chapters later Rogue Christianity, Rogue Israel and Rogue Islam are destroyed by the brightness of the true Gospel. They are cast into the lake of fire, and their followers are slain by divine forces (not human forces)
Satan/Beelzebub, the devil however does not go into the lake of fire just yet. He is imprisoned for a long period (a thousand years)
and then re-emerges for one final battle-The Battle of Gog. The thousand years sounds like a time of peace on the earth when all people follow the true gospel.
